
Vegetable Pakora

Ingredients:
- 2 cups Mixed vegetables
- 1 cup Gram flour
- 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon Red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon Garam masala powder
- To make a thick batter Water
- To taste Salt
- For deep frying Vegetable oil
Instructions:
- Wash and chop the mixed vegetables into small even-sized pieces.
- In a large bowl, mix together gram flour, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala and salt.
- Gradually add water to this mixture stirring continuously to make a thick batter.
- Add chopped vegetables to this batter and mix well to ensure all the vegetables are coated with the batter.
- Heat the oil in a deep pan. To check if the oil is hot enough, drop a small amount of batter into it. The batter should rise up quickly but not change color immediately.
- Drop spoonfuls of the batter-coated vegetables into the hot oil and deep fry until they turn golden brown and crispy.
- Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
- Serve hot with your favorite chutney or ketchup.
