Thai Beef Salad

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams Beef sirloin steak
  • 2 stalks Lemongrass
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 2 tablespoons Fish sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon Palm sugar
  • to taste Chili flakes
  • 4 cups Mixed salad greens
  • 1 cup Cherry tomatoes
  • 1 small Cucumber
  • 1 small Red onion
  • 1 handful Mint leaves
  • 1 handful Cilantro leaves

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your grill or broiler. Season the steak with salt and pepper and cook to your desired level of doneness. Once finished, let it rest for a few minutes, then slice thinly.
  2. To make the dressing, pound the lemongrass and garlic together in a mortar and pestle until they form a paste. Add the fish sauce, lime juice, palm sugar, and chili flakes and stir until well combined.
  3. Chop the salad greens, tomatoes, cucumber, onion, mint leaves, and cilantro and place them in a large salad bowl.
  4. Pour the dressing over the salad and toss well.
  5. Top the salad with the sliced beef and serve immediately.
