Thai Beef Basil Stir Fry

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams lean beef steak
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1 red chili
  • 2 bell peppers
  • 2 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 cups basil leaves
  • 2 cups jasmine rice

Instructions:

  1. Cut the beef into thin strips.
  2. Heat the oil in a wok over high heat. Stir-fry the beef until browned, and then remove it from the wok.
  3. Add the garlic, chili, and bell peppers to the wok, and stir-fry until the garlic is golden.
  4. Return the beef to the wok, and then add the fish sauce, soy sauce, and brown sugar. Stir-fry until the beef is coated in the sauce and the sugar has melted.
  5. Stir in the basil leaves until they are wilted.
  6. Serve the stir fry over the jasmine rice.
