Thai Basil Chicken (Pad Krapow Gai)

Ingredients:

  • 2 pieces Chicken Breast
  • 2 tablespoons Oyster Sauce
  • 1 tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Fish Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 2 pieces Small Red Chilies
  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable Oil
  • 1 cup Basil Leaves

Instructions:

  1. Slice the chicken breasts into thin strips. Set aside.
  2. In a bowl, combine oyster sauce, soy sauce, fish sauce and sugar. Stir well and set aside.
  3. Slice the garlic and chilies thinly. Be careful when handling chilies as they can cause a burning sensation.
  4. Heat the oil in a wok or large frying pan over medium heat.
  5. Add the garlic and chilies to the pan and fry until fragrant.
  6. Add the sliced chicken to the pan and stir-fry until it turns white.
  7. Add the prepared sauce to the chicken and stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes.
  8. When the chicken is cooked, add the basil leaves and stir until they wilt.
  9. Serve the Thai Basil Chicken hot with steamed jasmine rice.
