Spicy Tuna Hand Roll (Temaki)

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cooked Sushi Rice
  • 200 grams Raw Tuna
  • 4 sheets Nori Sheets
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Wasabi Paste
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame Seeds
  • for garnish Pickled Ginger
  • for garnish Chopped Scallions

Instructions:

  1. Cut the tuna into small cubes, then mix it in a bowl with the soy sauce, wasabi paste, and Sriracha sauce.
  2. Lay out a sheet of nori on a dry, flat surface. Spread a thin layer of sushi rice on the nori, leaving about an inch free at the top.
  3. Add a small spoonful of the spicy tuna mixture towards the bottom of the rice.
  4. Roll the nori and rice around the tuna filling, starting at the bottom and working your way up, until you have a cone-shaped hand roll.
  5. Repeat with the remaining nori sheets, rice, and tuna mixture.
  6. Garnish each hand roll with sesame seeds, pickled ginger, and chopped scallions. Serve immediately, with extra soy sauce on the side for dipping if desired.
