
Spicy Szechuan Tofu

Ingredients:
- 300 grams firm tofu
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 3 pieces green onions
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 piece ginger
- 1 teaspoon Szechuan peppercorns
- 2 tablespoons chili bean paste
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 cup water
Instructions:
- Drain the tofu and cut into bite-sized pieces, set aside.
- In a large pan, heat the oil, then add chopped green onions, garlic, and ginger. Fry until fragrant.
- Add the Szechuan peppercorns and chili bean paste, stir for a minute.
- Add the tofu pieces to the pan and gently stir until they are coated with the sauce.
- Combine the soy sauce, sugar, water, and cornstarch in a bowl. Pour this mixture to the pan.
- Simmer until the sauce thickens. Serve hot.
