Spicy Szechuan Style Fish

Ingredients:

  • 4 pieces White fish fillets
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon Szechuan peppercorns
  • 8 pieces Dried red chilies
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 3 pieces Green onions
  • 1 piece Red bell pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil

Instructions:

  1. Marinate the fish fillets with soy sauce and cornstarch for about 10 minutes.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Add in the Szechuan peppercorns and dried red chilies. Cook until fragrant.
  3. Add in the minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped green onions, and sliced red bell pepper. Stir-fry for a few minutes.
  4. Transfer the marinated fish to the pan and cook until the fish is done.
  5. In a small bowl, create a sauce by combining soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, and sesame oil. Pour the sauce over the fish and cook for a few more minutes.
  6. Serve the fish on a plate, pouring the extra sauce from the pan on top. Enjoy your spicy Szechuan-style fish!
