
Spicy Shrimp and Grits

Ingredients:
- 1 lb Shrimp
- 1 tsp Cayenne Pepper
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Black Pepper
- 4 cloves Garlic
- 2 tbsp Unsalted Butter
- 2 cups Chicken Stock
- 1 cup Stone-Ground Grits
- 1 cup Cream
- 1 cup Cheddar Cheese
Instructions:
- Peel and devein the shrimp, and season them with cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper. Set aside.
- In a large pot, bring the chicken stock to a boil. Slowly stir in the grits, reduce the heat to low, and cover. Let simmer for around 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Meanwhile, melt the butter in a large pan over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant, 1-2 minutes. Add the seasoned shrimp and cook for about 5-6 minutes, or until they are pink and cooked through.
- Once the grits are done cooking, stir in the cream and cheddar cheese, and season with more salt and pepper if needed.
- Serve the cooked shrimp over the creamy grits and enjoy your spicy seafood breakfast.
