
Spicy Midnight Yakiniku (Japanese Grilled Beef)

Ingredients:
- 300 grams beef ribeye
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons mirin
- 2 tablespoons sake
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 cloves garlic cloves
- 1 red chili pepper
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
Instructions:
- Slice the beef ribeye thinly and set aside.
- In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, mirin, sake, and sugar. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Add the grated garlic, sliced red chilli pepper, and grated ginger to the sauce.
- Marinate the beef in the sauce for at least 10 minutes, but preferably overnight for best flavor.
- Heat up the sesame oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and grill for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until preferred doneness.
- Plate the grilled beef. Serve with steamed rice or lettuce wraps. Enjoy your spicy yakiniku!
