Spicy Midnight Tuna Donburi

Ingredients:

  • 200 grams sushi grade tuna
  • 1 cup Jasmine Rice
  • 1.5 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon mirin
  • 1 teaspoon wasabi paste
  • 2 stalks green onions
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • to taste Sriracha sauce

Instructions:

  1. Wash the rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Add rice and water to a pot, bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer. Cover and let it cook for 15 minutes or until water is absorbed. Fluff with a fork and set aside.
  2. While the rice is cooking, chop the green onions and set aside. Slice the sushi grade tuna into bite-sized pieces.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, mirin, wasabi paste and Sriracha sauce to make the spicy dressing.
  4. Divide the cooked rice between two bowls. Top with the sliced tuna, drizzle with the spicy dressing, and garnish with the chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Enjoy your Spicy Midnight Tuna Donburi hot.
