Spicy Mediterranean Beef Pita

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams Beef
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 2 whole Tomatoes
  • 1 whole Red Onion
  • 1 whole Cucumber
  • To Taste Hot Sauce
  • To Taste Salt
  • To Taste Black Pepper
  • 4 slices Pita Bread

Instructions:

  1. Slice the beef into thin strips.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  3. Add the beef strips to the pan and cook for 10 minutes, or until they start to brown.
  4. Add the sliced garlic, salt, black pepper, and hot sauce to the pan, mix well and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  5. In the meantime, finely chop the tomatoes, red onion, and cucumber.
  6. Remove the pan from the heat and allow it to cool for a few minutes.
  7. Warm the pita bread in the oven for a few minutes at 180°C.
  8. Fill up the pita bread with the cooked beef, tomatoes, red onion, and cucumber.
  9. Serve hot with a side of your favorite dipping sauce.
