Spicy Masala Prawns Indian Breakfast

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams Jumbo Prawns
  • 2 tablespoons Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1 Sprig Curry leaves
  • 2 medium, finely chopped Onions
  • 2 slit Green chillies
  • 5 cloves, chopped Garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • to taste Salt
  • for garnish Coriander leaves

Instructions:

  1. Firstly, clean the prawns and marinate them with turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt. Set them aside for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan on medium heat and add the mustard seeds. Once they begin to sputter, add curry leaves.
  3. Add in the finely chopped onions and green chillies to the pan and sauté until the onions turn translucent.
  4. Next, add the chopped garlic to the pan and sauté until it turns golden brown.
  5. Add in the marinated prawns to the pan and mix well. Cook the prawns on low heat till they are completely cooked.
  6. Sprinkle the garam masala powder over the prawns and give it a good stir. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  7. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
  8. Serve the spicy masala prawns with hot steamed rice or a side of parantha for a hearty Indian breakfast.
