Spicy Japanese Vegetable Tempura

Ingredients:

  • 1 bowl assorted vegetables (e.g., bell peppers, carrots, broccoli)
  • 1 cup tempura flour
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 liter vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper

Instructions:

  1. Clean and cut the vegetables into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together tempura flour and cold water until batter is smooth.
  3. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
  4. Dip the vegetables in the batter, coating them evenly, and then place them in the hot oil.
  5. Fry until golden brown, then remove and drain on paper towels.
  6. In a small bowl, combine soy sauce and cayenne pepper. Serve as a dip with the tempura.
