Spicy Japanese Midnight Udon Noodles

Ingredients:

  • 200 grams Udon Noodles
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Mirin
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Chili Flakes
  • 2 stalks Spring Onions
  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable Oil

Instructions:

  1. Firstly, cook the udon noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  2. While the noodles are cooking, mix the soy sauce, mirin and sugar together in a small bowl and set aside.
  3. Finely chop the garlic and thinly slice the spring onions.
  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  5. Then, add the chopped garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  6. Introduce chili flakes to the pan and stir with the garlic for 30 seconds.
  7. Pour the soy sauce mixture into the pan and stir well to combine.
  8. Finally, add the cooked noodles into the pan and toss until fully coated in the sauce.
  9. Serve your spicy Japanese midnight udon noodles garnished with sliced spring onions. Enjoy your late-night adventure with these wonderfully savory-spicy noodles!
