Total Time: 30 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Japanese Short Grain Rice
- 1.5 cups Water
- 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
- 1 tablespoon Sriracha Sauce
- 2 cloves Garlic Cloves
- 2 stalks Green Onions
- 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil
- 2 pieces Egg
Instructions:
- Wash the Japanese short grain rice until the water runs clear.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the rice and water. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover and let simmer for about 20 minutes.
- While the rice is cooking, mince the garlic cloves and slice the green onions.
- Heat the sesame oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and stir fry until fragrant.
- Add the cooked rice to the pan and stir fry for a few minutes until it's slightly crispy.
- Push the rice to one side of the pan and crack the eggs into the other side. Scramble the eggs until they're fully cooked and mix them into the rice.
- Add the soy sauce and sriracha sauce to the pan. Stir well to combine and ensure the rice is well-coated.
- Garnish with the sliced green onions and serve hot.
