Spicy Japanese Fruit Stir Fry

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups sliced assorted fruits (like pineapple, apple, and pear)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger
  • 1 whole lime
  • a handful fresh basil

Instructions:

  1. 1. In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, brown sugar, siracha sauce, rice wine vinegar, and sesame oil.
  2. 2. Mince the garlic and ginger and add them to the sauce. Mix well.
  3. 3. Heat a frying pan or wok over medium heat and add the sauce. Let it heat for a minute until it starts to bubble.
  4. 4. Add the sliced fruits to the pan and stir until they are covered in the sauce. Let it cook for about 6-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the fruits are cooked but still maintain some crunch.
  5. 5. Squeeze the juice of the lime over the stir fry and mix in the fresh basil leaves. Serve hot.
