
Spicy Japanese Chicken Yakitori

Ingredients:
- 500 grams Boneless chicken thighs
- 8 Bamboo Skewers
- 1/2 cup Soy Sauce
- 1/4 cup Mirin
- 2 tablespoons Sugar
- 1/4 cup Japanese sake
- 2 teaspoons Japanese seven spice powder (Shichimi Togarashi)
- 4 stalks Green onions
Instructions:
- Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and thread onto the bamboo skewers.
- In a medium bowl, mix together the soy sauce, mirin, sugar, and sake to make the yakitori sauce.
- Sprinkle the chicken skewers with the Japanese seven spice powder, then dip them in the yakitori sauce to marinate for about 15 minutes.
- Preheat the grill on medium heat. Grill the skewers, brushing occasionally with the remaining sauce, for about 10 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
