Servings: 4

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Total Time: 35 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 4 pieces Chicken breasts
  • 0.5 cup Soy sauce
  • 0.25 cup Sake
  • 0.25 cup Mirin
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 piece Ginger
  • 1 teaspoon Red pepper flakes
  • 2 stalks Scallions

Instructions:

  1. Combine soy sauce, sake, mirin, sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes in a bowl.
  2. Marinate the chicken in the mixture for at least 30 minutes. For best results, marinate overnight.
  3. Heat a pan over medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade, reserving the marinade.
  4. Cook the chicken until it's browned on each side, about 5 minutes per side.
  5. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
  6. Pour the marinade into the pan and bring to a simmer. Cook until the sauce thickens, about 10 minutes.
  7. Return the chicken to the pan and coat with the reduced sauce.
  8. Garnish with chopped scallions and serve.
