
Spicy Japanese Chicken Teriyaki

Ingredients:
- 4 pieces Chicken breasts
- 0.5 cup Soy sauce
- 0.25 cup Sake
- 0.25 cup Mirin
- 2 tablespoons Sugar
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 1 piece Ginger
- 1 teaspoon Red pepper flakes
- 2 stalks Scallions
Instructions:
- Combine soy sauce, sake, mirin, sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes in a bowl.
- Marinate the chicken in the mixture for at least 30 minutes. For best results, marinate overnight.
- Heat a pan over medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade, reserving the marinade.
- Cook the chicken until it's browned on each side, about 5 minutes per side.
- Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
- Pour the marinade into the pan and bring to a simmer. Cook until the sauce thickens, about 10 minutes.
- Return the chicken to the pan and coat with the reduced sauce.
- Garnish with chopped scallions and serve.
