Spicy Italian Fish Bites

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams white fish (like cod or hake)
  • 100 grams plain flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 200 grams bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon italian seasoning
  • 2 fresh red chili (finely chopped)
  • for frying olive oil
  • to serve lemon wedges

Instructions:

  1. Cut the fish into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour with the Italian seasoning and some salt and pepper.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs.
  4. In a third bowl, mix the bread crumbs and chopped chili.
  5. Dip each piece of fish in the flour, then the egg, then the bread crumbs.
  6. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the fish bites until golden brown.
  7. Drain on kitchen paper, then serve with lemon wedges for squeezing over.
