Spicy Indian Shrimp Curry

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound Shrimp
  • 2 tablespoons Oil
  • 1 large Onion
  • 3 pieces Garlic cloves
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 2 medium Tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 2 teaspoons Red chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons Garam masala
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 can Coconut milk
  • for garnish Cilantro

Instructions:

  1. Peel and devein the shrimp. Start to heat the oil in a pan.
  2. Add chopped onion, minced garlic, and grated ginger to the pan. Cook until the onion is soft.
  3. Once the onion is soft, add chopped tomatoes, turmeric, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt to the pan. Stir until the spices are well mixed with the other ingredients.
  4. Add the coconut milk to the pan. Stir until the curry is creamy and thick.
  5. Add the shrimp to the curry. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the shrimp is pink and cooked through.
  6. Remove the pan from heat. Garnish the curry with cilantro before serving.
