Spicy Indian Midnight Chilli Chicken

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams Boneless chicken
  • 100 grams Yogurt
  • 2 teaspoons Red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon juice
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 1 large Onion
  • 2 Green chillies
  • handful Curry leaves

Instructions:

  1. Marinate the chicken with yogurt, lemon juice, ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, garam masala and salt for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and saute finely chopped onions till it turns golden brown in color.
  3. Add slit green chillies and curry leaves to the pan, and cook for 2 minutes.
  4. Then add the marinated chicken to the pan, and cook on high heat for a few minutes, until the chicken starts to brown.
  5. Reduce the heat, cover the pan, and let it cook for another 15 minutes, or until done.
  6. Make sure the chicken is fully cooked before taking off the heat. If desired, garnish with some freshly chopped coriander and serve hot.
