Spicy Indian Fish Fry

Ingredients:

  • 4 whole Fish (any variety)
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger paste
  • to taste Salt
  • for frying Oil

Instructions:

  1. Clean the fish and pat dry with a paper towel.
  2. In a bowl, mix together lemon juice, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garlic paste, ginger paste, and salt.
  3. Marinate the fish with the prepared spice mix and let it rest for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  5. Once the oil is hot, add the marinated fish to the pan and fry until it turns golden brown and crispy on both sides. This should take about 7-8 minutes each side.
  6. Once done, remove the fish from the oil and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve the spicy Indian fish fry hot with slices of onion and lemon.
