Spicy Indian Fish Curry

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams Fish fillets
  • 1 Big Onion
  • 1 Cup Tomato puree
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 1 Teaspoon Grated ginger
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 2 Teaspoon Red chili powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • 200 ml Coconut milk
  • 2 Tablespoon Vegetable oil
  • To taste Salt
  • For garnishing Chopped coriander leaves

Instructions:

  1. In a pan, heat oil over medium heat. Saute finely chopped onions until they turn golden brown.
  2. Add crushed garlic and grated ginger to the pan. Stir well and cook until their raw smell goes away.
  3. Add tomato puree, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, and salt. Mix well and cook until oil appears on the top.
  4. Add fish fillets to the pan. Coat them well with the masala and cook for about 5 minutes until the fish becomes tender.
  5. Add coconut milk and let the curry simmer for few minutes. Taste the curry and adjust the salt if necessary.
  6. Turn off the heat and garnish with coriander leaves.
  7. Serve the spicy Indian fish curry hot with steamed rice for a delectable midnight meal.
