Spicy Indian Chicken Curry

Ingredients:

  • 1 Kg Chicken
  • 2 Large Onion
  • 2 Medium Tomato
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 3 Green chilies
  • 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 2 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1.5 tsp Chili powder
  • 1 tsp Garam masala
  • 2 cups Water
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • To taste Salt
  • Few Coriander leaves

Instructions:

  1. Clean and cut the chicken into pieces.
  2. Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan. Add chopped onions, garlic, and ginger. Saute until they turn golden brown.
  3. Add the tomatoes and chopped green chilies to the pan and cook until the tomatoes are mushy.
  4. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, chili powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for a minute.
  5. Add the chicken pieces to the pan. Mix well with the masala. Cover and cook on a low flame for 10-15 mins.
  6. Add water as required, cover the pan and cook for another 15-20 mins or until the chicken is cooked well and the gravy is thickened.
  7. Add Garam masala and mix well. Cook for another 2 mins. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
  8. Serve hot with rice or bread.
