Spicy Indian Beef Curry

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams Beef
  • 1 large Onion
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 1 inch piece Ginger
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon Chilli Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • 1 Can of tomatoes
  • A handful Fresh Coriander

Instructions:

  1. Heat a large pan on medium heat and brown the beef in batches. Remove from pan and set aside.
  2. In the same pan, add a bit more oil if needed, then add the onions and cook until they start to soften.
  3. Add the ginger and garlic, cook for a further 1-2 minutes.
  4. Add the ground turmeric, cumin, coriander, chilli powder, and garam masala to the pan. Cook for another minute, until fragrant.
  5. Add the can of tomatoes and bring to a simmer.
  6. Return the beef to the pan, mix well, cover and simmer on low heat for around 1 hour, until the beef is tender and the flavours have developed.
  7. Serve the curry hot, garnished with the fresh coriander. Enjoy your spicy Indian beef curry for your midnight cravings!
