Spicy Fruit Yakitori

Ingredients:

  • 1 whole Pineapple
  • 2 whole Apple
  • 2 whole Pear
  • 2 whole Peach
  • 1/2 cup Soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup Mirin
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Red pepper flakes
  • 12 pieces Skewers

Instructions:

  1. Cut the fruits into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a saucepan, combine soy sauce, mirin, sugar, and red pepper flakes. Bring to a boil and then simmer until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  3. Dip the fruit pieces into the sauce, then skewer them onto the skewers.
  4. Grill the skewers on a medium heat until the fruit is caramelized and slightly charred, turning them regularly and brushing with more sauce.
  5. Serve the spicy fruit yakitori with rice on the side for a complete lunch meal.
