
Spicy French Pasta Arrabiata

Ingredients:
- 500 grams penne pasta
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
- 1 can canned diced tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- to taste salt
- to taste pepper
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- for garnish fresh basil leaves
Instructions:
- 1. Cook pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water until just tender but still firm to bite.
- 2. While the pasta is cooking, heat oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add garlic and red chili flakes; sauté until fragrant.
- 3. Add tomatoes, dried basil, salt, and pepper and simmer over medium heat until sauce thickens, stirring occasionally.
- 4. Once pasta is done, drain and add it directly into pan with sauce. Toss to coat pasta with sauce.
- 5. Turn off the heat, add grated parmesan cheese and mix well until cheese is melted.
- 6. Serve the spicy French pasta arrabiata hot, garnished with fresh basil leaves.
