Spicy French Omelette

Ingredients:

  • 6 whole Eggs
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 2 tablespoons Heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup Sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh chives
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Crushed red pepper flakes

Instructions:

  1. Beat the eggs in a bowl until the yolks and whites are fully mixed. Mix in the heavy cream.
  2. Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium heat and add the butter, letting it melt and cover the pan.
  3. Pour the beaten eggs into the pan and let them cook without stirring for 2-3 minutes, until the edges begin to set.
  4. Sprinkle the cheese, chives, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes over the top of the uncooked eggs.
  5. Use a spatula to gently fold the omelette in half, and then let it cook for another 2-3 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the eggs are cooked to your liking.
  6. Slide the omelette out of the pan and onto a plate. Serve immediately, with extra red pepper flakes on top for additional heat.
