Spicy French Beef Tartare

Ingredients:

  • 8 ounces Beef Tenderloin
  • 1 tablespoon Capers
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon Mustard
  • 1 Egg Yolk
  • 1 French Baguette
  • 1 teaspoon Olive Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Parsley
  • to taste Tabasco Sauce
  • to taste Salt and Pepper

Instructions:

  1. Trim any fat from the beef and finely chop into small pieces. Place it in a bowl in the fridge to keep it cold.
  2. In another bowl, combine capers, dijon mustard, egg yolk, chopped parsley, olive oil and a few drops of Tabasco sauce. Stir to combine and taste for seasoning. Adjust according to your taste.
  3. Now take the beef from the fridge and mix it with the sauce carefully till all the pieces are coated evenly. You can add a little more olive oil if the mixture looks too dry.
  4. Season with salt, pepper and add more Tabasco for extra spiciness if preferred.
  5. Serve the spicy beef tartare on slices of French baguette. Enjoy your French snack!
