Spicy Chinese Pork Stir-fry
Servings: 2
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 20 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes
Ingredients:
- 350 grams Pork fillet
- 1 teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder
- 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Olive oil
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 1 piece Fresh red chili
- 4 pieces Spring onions
- 1 piece Red bell pepper
Instructions:
- 1. Cut the pork into thin strips. Place in a bowl and sprinkle over the five-spice powder and 1 tablespoon of the soy sauce. Mix well and set aside to marinate. Good to leave it for a couple of hours ideally, but if you're short on time it's ok.
- 2. Heat half the oil in a wok or large frying pan over a high heat, then stir-fry the pork for 2-3 minutes until cooked. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside.
- 3. Lower the heat to medium, then add the remaining oil. Stir-fry the garlic and chili for a minute, then add the bell pepper and spring onions. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
- 4. Add the remaining soy sauce, then return the pork to the pan. Toss everything together over the heat for 1-2 minutes until the pork is warmed through and everything is well mixed. Serve immediately.
