Spicy Chinese Beef Stir-fry

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams Beef steak
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 1 piece Green bell pepper
  • 2 pieces Red chili peppers
  • 3 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Oyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons Cornstarch
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame seeds

Instructions:

  1. Cut the beef into thin strips.
  2. Chop the garlic, ginger, and chili peppers finely.
  3. Slice the bell pepper into thin strips.
  4. Heat the oil in a wok over high heat.
  5. Add the beef to the wok and stir-fry until browned, about 2-3 minutes. Remove the beef from the wok and set aside.
  6. In the same wok, add the garlic, ginger, and chili peppers. Stir-fry for about 1 minute or until fragrant.
  7. Add the bell pepper, followed by the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and water. Let it simmer.
  8. Mix the cornstarch with a little water to make a slurry. Add this to the wok and stir until the sauce thickens.
  9. Return the beef to the wok and stir well to combine.
  10. Sprinkle over the sesame seeds just before serving.
  11. Serve hot with steamed rice.
