Spicy American Pasta Bake

Ingredients:

  • 16 oz Pasta
  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 lb Spicy Italian Sausage
  • 1 Can Canned Diced Tomatoes
  • 1 Can Tomato Sauce
  • 3 teaspoons Chopped Garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes
  • 2 Cups Mixed Italian Cheese
  • 1 Cup Parmesan Cheese
  • 4 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • To taste Salt
  • To taste Black Pepper

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to boil, add pasta, and cook until al dente; drain.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook and stir ground beef and sausage until brown. Remove from heat, and drain.
  3. In the same skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Stir in garlic and cook until golden brown. Mix in diced tomatoes and tomato sauce. Season with red pepper flakes. Bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce heat to low, and simmer 15 minutes.
  4. Mix cooked pasta, beef mixture, and 1 cup of the Italian cheese mix into the sauce. Season with salt and pepper. Spoon the mixture into a 9x13 inch baking dish. Top with remaining 1 cup Italian cheese and 1 cup parmesan.
  5. Bake 25 minutes in the preheated oven, until bubbly and lightly brown.
