Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 15 minutes

Total Time: 25 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Beef sirloin steak
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 1 Red bell pepper
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 2 cups Broccoli florets
  • 3 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Fish sauce
  • 2 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 1 Lime
  • 1 handful Fresh basil leaves

Instructions:

  1. 1. Slice the beef into thin strips. Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Cook half of the beef for 2-3 minutes, then transfer to a plate. Repeat with the remaining beef.
  2. 2. Lower the heat to medium, add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  3. 3. Add the remaining 1 tbsp of oil, then the sliced onion, red bell pepper, and broccoli. Stir-fry for about 5 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  4. 4. Return the beef to the pan. Add the soy sauce, fish sauce, and brown sugar. Stir well to coat.
  5. 5. Cut lime into halves. Squeeze the juice from half of the lime over the stir-fry. Cut the other half into wedges for serving.
  6. 6. Scatter a handful of fresh basil leaves over the top of the stir-fry. Serve it hot with rice and lime wedges.
