Quick Thai Basil Chicken

Ingredients:

  • 2 pcs chicken breasts
  • 3 pcs garlic cloves
  • 2 pcs Thai bird chilies
  • 2 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1.5 teaspoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 cup Thai basil leaves
  • 4 servings cooked jasmine rice

Instructions:

  1. Slice the chicken breasts into thin strips.
  2. Mince the garlic and chop the bird chilies.
  3. Stir together fish sauce, soy sauce, and sugar in a small bowl.
  4. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Add the minced garlic and chopped chilies to the pan. Stir-fry for about 30 seconds.
  6. Add the sliced chicken to the pan and stir-fry until it is nearly cooked through. This should take about 3-5 minutes.
  7. Pour the sauce mixture into the pan and continue to stir-fry until the chicken is fully cooked.
  8. Remove the pan from heat and stir in the basil leaves until they are wilted.
  9. Serve the chicken with jasmine rice.
