Quick Margherita Pizza

Ingredients:

  • 1 piece Pizza dough
  • 1/2 cup Tomato Sauce
  • 8 ounces Fresh Mozzarella Cheese
  • A handful Fresh Basil Leaves
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • To taste Salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 475 F (245 C). If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven while it preheats.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into your desired size and thickness.
  3. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges for the crust.
  4. Slice the mozzarella and distribute it evenly across the sauce.
  5. Transfer the pizza (on a pizza peel or an inverted baking sheet) onto the preheated pizza stone, or bake directly on the baking sheet if you don't have a stone.
  6. Bake the pizza for about 12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling and starting to brown.
  7. Remove the pizza from the oven and immediately top with fresh basil leaves. Drizzle with the olive oil and sprinkle with salt to taste.
  8. Slice and serve immediately. Enjoy your midnight feast with this quick and easy recipe!
