Quick Japanese Beef Bowl (Gyudon)

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound Thinly sliced beef
  • 1 whole Onion
  • 3 tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Mirin
  • 1 tablespoon Sake
  • 1.5 tablespoons Sugar
  • 2 cups, cooked Rice
  • To garnish N/A Scallions

Instructions:

  1. Slice the onion thinly and set it aside.
  2. In a pan, combine the soy sauce, mirin, sake, and sugar, and stir over medium heat until the sugar has dissolved.
  3. Add the sliced onion to the pan and cook until it becomes translucent.
  4. Add the thinly sliced beef to the pan, distributing it evenly over the onions. Let it simmer until the beef is cooked through.
  5. Serve the beef and onions over cooked rice, and garnish with scallions. Enjoy your quick and easy Japanese Beef Bowl!
