Quick Italian Fish Piccata

Ingredients:

  • 2 pieces Fresh White Fish Fillets
  • 1/2 cup Flour
  • to taste Salt & Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 2 Cloves of Garlic
  • 1/2 Lemon
  • few sprigs Parsley
  • 2 tablespoons Capers
  • 1/2 cup White Wine

Instructions:

  1. Season the fish fillets with salt, pepper and a dusting of flour.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat and add the fish fillets. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side or until flaky and golden brown. Remove the fish from the pan and set to one side.
  3. In the same pan, add the finely chopped garlic, capers, and white wine. Stir and simmer for 2-3 minutes to reduce the wine. Squeeze the juice from the half lemon into the pan and stir.
  4. Add the fish back to the pan, coating in the sauce. Simmer for another 1-2 minutes. Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.
  5. Serve hot with your favorite side dish, or enjoy it on its own. Perfect for those late-night cravings!
