Quick & Easy Thai Rice Snack

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups Jasmine Rice
  • 3 cups Water
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable Oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Red Chili Flakes
  • 3 stalks Green Onions
  • 1/2 bunch Cilantro
  • 1 piece Lime

Instructions:

  1. Rinse the jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Combine the rinsed rice with 3 cups of water in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes until the rice is cooked and the water is absorbed.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and red chili flakes, and sauté until the garlic turns a light golden color.
  3. Add the cooked rice to the hot pan and stir to mix the garlic and oil into the rice. Drizzle the soy sauce over the rice and stir to evenly distribute the sauce.
  4. Chop the green onions and cilantro, and sprinkle them over the rice. Stir to mix in the herbs. Squeeze the juice of the lime over the rice, and give it one more good stir before removing from heat.
  5. Serve the rice warm as a snack or side dish. Enjoy your Quick & Easy Thai Rice!
