
Quick & Easy Japanese Seafood Rice Bowl

Ingredients:
- 2 cups short grain rice
- 2 cups water
- 200 grams mixed seafood (prawn, squid, mussels)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon mirin
- 1 tablespoon sake
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2 stalks spring onions
- to taste seaweed flakes (optional)
Instructions:
- Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Then cook the rice with water according to the packet instructions.
- In a pan, add the seafood and cook over medium heat until the seafood is cooked through. Remove the seafood from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add the soy sauce, mirin, sake, and sugar. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
- Add the cooked seafood into the pan and mix well with the sauce.
- Divide the cooked rice into two bowls. Top each bowl with the seafood mixture.
- Slice spring onions and sprinkle over the top of each bowl.
- Sprinkle seaweed flakes on top, if desired.
- Serve immediately and enjoy this quick and delicious Japanese seafood rice bowl.
