Quick & Easy Japanese Rice Bowl

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup White Rice, short grain
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 can Tuna, canned in water
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 2 stalks Green onion
  • to taste Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine the rice and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
  3. While the rice is cooking, drain the canned tuna and place it in a bowl. Add the soy sauce and sesame oil to the tuna, mixing well.
  4. Chop the green onion into thin slices.
  5. When the rice is cooked, fluff it with a fork and divide it between two bowls.
  6. Top the rice with the tuna mixture and sprinkle with chopped green onion and sesame seeds.
  7. Serve this quick & easy Japanese rice bowl hot, enjoy your lunch!
