Quick & Easy Japanese Chicken Rice Bowl

Ingredients:

  • 2 pieces Boneless Chicken Breasts
  • 3 tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Mirin
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 2 bowls Cooked Japanese Rice
  • 2 stalks Spring Onions
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame Seeds

Instructions:

  1. Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, mirin, and sugar until sugar is fully dissolved.
  3. Heat a pan over medium heat, and add the chicken pieces. Cook until they are lightly browned.
  4. Pour the sauce over the chicken in the pan. Simmer for 10-15 minutes or until the sauce has fully coated the chicken.
  5. Chop the spring onions into small pieces.
  6. To assemble, divide the cooked rice into two bowls. Top with the chicken and sauce, then sprinkle with chopped spring onions and sesame seeds.
