Quick & Easy Indian Shrimp Masala

Ingredients:

  • 250 grams Shrimp, deveined and peeled
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 medium Onion, finely chopped
  • 1 large Tomato, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon Chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • to taste Salt
  • for garnish Fresh cilantro, chopped

Instructions:

  1. 1. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and onion, sauté until the onions are translucent.
  2. 2. Add the chopped tomato to the skillet. Cook until tomatoes are soft and mushy.
  3. 3. Add garam masala, chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt to the skillet. Stir well to mix the spices with the onion and tomato mixture.
  4. 4. Add the shrimp into the skillet and toss until they are coated with the spice mixture. Cook for about 5-7 minutes or until the shrimp are cooked through.
  5. 5. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot. This dish pairs well with a side of steamed basmati rice or warm naan bread.
