Quick & Easy Indian Fish Pakoras

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams Fish fillets
  • 1 cup Chickpea flour
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala
  • to taste Salt
  • 0.75 cup Water
  • for deep frying Vegetable oil

Instructions:

  1. Clean and pat dry the fish fillets, and cut into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the chickpea flour, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala and salt.
  3. Gradually add water to this mixture until you get a thick, smooth batter.
  4. Heat oil in a deep frying pan.
  5. Dip the fish pieces into the batter and drop them into the hot oil.
  6. Fry until golden brown, then remove and drain on kitchen paper to remove excess oil.
  7. Serve hot with mint chutney or ketchup. Enjoy your quick & easy Indian fish pakoras!
