Quick & Easy French Beef Breakfast Tartine

Ingredients:

  • 4 pieces Slices of sourdough bread
  • 0.5 lb Roast beef
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 8 pieces Slices of gruyere cheese
  • To taste Fresh thyme
  • To taste Salt and pepper

Instructions:

  1. Spread the slices of sourdough with butter on one side and dijon mustard on the other side.
  2. Place the slices on a hot griddle or frying pan, butter side down.
  3. Top the mustard side with slices of roast beef and gruyere cheese.
  4. Cover the pan and cook for about 5 minutes, until the cheese has melted.
  5. Remove from heat, season with fresh thyme, salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve hot with a side of fresh fruit or mixed green salad for a complete breakfast.
