Quick & Easy Chinese Steamed Fish

Ingredients:

  • 1 Whole White Fish (such as Sea Bass or Halibut)
  • 3 tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 2 slices Fresh Ginger
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 3 stalks Green Onions
  • 1 Red Chili
  • 1 teaspoon White Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil

Instructions:

  1. Clean the fish thoroughly, making sure all scales are removed.
  2. Place the fish on a plate and stuff the fish belly with ginger and garlic.
  3. Place the plate in a steamer and steam over high heat for about 15 minutes, until the fish is fully cooked.
  4. While the fish is steaming, prepare the sauce by combining soy sauce, sesame oil, white sugar, chili, and green onions in a bowl.
  5. Once the fish is done, remove from the steamer and pour the sauce over it.
  6. Serve immediately with steamed rice.
