
Quick & Easy American Mac and Cheese

Ingredients:
- 2 cups Elbow Macaroni
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 2 tbsp All-purpose flour
- 2 cups Milk
- 2 cups, shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
- 0.5 tsp Salt
- 0.25 tsp White Pepper
Instructions:
- Cook pasta according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
- Stir in flour to form a roux, cooking for about 1 minute.
- Gradually whisk in the milk, then bring to a boil, continually whisking.
- Reduce heat to low and stir in cheese, salt, and white pepper until the sauce is smooth.
- Add the cooked pasta to the saucepan and stir until pasta is fully coated.
- Serve warm with extra shredded cheese on top, if desired.
