Quick and Easy French Fruit Tart

Ingredients:

  • 200 grams Ready-made shortcrust pastry
  • 1 cup Mixed Fruits (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, kiwi)
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Essence

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Roll out the pastry and line a tart tray. Prick all over with a fork to prevent it from puffing up during baking.
  3. Bake the pastry shell in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes, or until lightly golden.
  4. Meanwhile, whisk together the eggs, sugar, cream, and vanilla essence until smooth.
  5. Once the pastry shell has baked, remove it from the oven and fill with the cream mixture.
  6. Arrange the mixed fruits on top of the cream mixture.
  7. Return to the oven and bake for another 10 minutes, or until the cream is set and the fruit is lightly caramelized.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your quick and easy French fruit tart.
