
Quick and Easy American Mac n' Cheese

Ingredients:
- 2 cups Macaroni pasta
- 2 cups Sharp Cheddar Cheese
- 1 cup Whole Milk
- 2 tablespoons Unsalted Butter
- 2 tablespoons All-purpose Flour
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- to taste Fresh Ground Black Pepper
Instructions:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In the same pot, melt butter over medium heat. Sprinkle flour over butter, whisking to incorporate and make a roux. Cook for 1-2 minutes until mixture is light golden brown.
- Pour milk into butter and flour mixture, whisking constantly.
- Allow mixture to heat up until it’s steaming then whisk in cheese, a little at a time until you have a smooth, thick sauce.
- Season sauce with salt and pepper. Stir cooked pasta into sauce until combined. Serve immediately.
