
Quiche Lorraine

Ingredients:
- 1 sheet Shortcrust pastry
- 200 grams Bacon
- 200 grams Gruyere cheese
- 250 ml Heavy cream
- 4 Eggs
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Pepper
- 1 pinch Nutmeg
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
- Roll out the shortcrust pastry and use it to line a pie tin. Prick the base with a fork.
- Fry the bacon in a pan until crisp, then drain on kitchen paper.
- Sprinkle the bacon and half of the cheese over the base of the pie crust.
- In a bowl, beat together the eggs, cream, salt, pepper, and nutmeg until well combined.
- Pour the egg mixture into the pie crust. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, until the quiche is set and golden.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
