
Prawn Masala

Ingredients:
- 500 grams Prawns
- 2 Large Onions
- 3 Medium Tomatoes
- 4 Garlic Cloves
- 1 inch Ginger
- 1 teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- 1 teaspoon Cumin Powder
- 1 teaspoon Coriander Powder
- 1 teaspoon Garam Masala Powder
- To taste Salt
- 1 Lemon
- Handful Coriander Leaves, for garnish
- 3 tablespoons Cooking Oil
Instructions:
- Clean and de-vein the prawns. Squeeze the juice of the lemon over the prawns, then rinse with water.
- Heat oil in a pan. Add finely chopped onions and sauté till translucent.
- Add finely chopped garlic and ginger to the pan and sauté till aromatic.
- Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they are soft and mushy.
- Incorporate the spice powders: chilli, turmeric, cumin, coriander, and garam masala. Mix well.
- Add the cleaned prawns to the pan. Season with salt to taste. Stir until prawns are well coated with the mixture.
- Cover and cook on low heat for 10-15 minutes, until prawns are fully cooked.
- Once ready, garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with naan or rice as per preference.
